This Friday night Episode of "Mini-Pod" w/Donald Wayne covers an article found in Mike Huckabee's Newsletter for Wednesday April 1st (not an April Fool's Joke).  The article is titled "The four R's - Reading, Writing, Rithmetic and Race."  
In this article Huckabee talks about how the California Board of Education has just voted .. unanimously ..to approve their new 894 page Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum.  The article covers/states:
National Review - ran an article explaining what was in the program and why they were against it.
According to the article you would be surprised to see what subjects aren't required to graduate
Links curriculum to the ignorance of kids about basic history and civics in our country
States curriculum will promote "countergenocide"
Oh Yeah!  It's going after religion too

Episode - 120 - "Spunky Spontaneity"

Even when things don't go as planned it can be a fun show. Donald Wayne, Dennis Lee and Eric Kirk were joined by Crimson and Ellie Jay tonight "on the board".  This was one of those shows where you get to throw the outline away and just have conversations.  Which we love doing.  Most of the conversation was about the new voter legislation in Georgia and the push back from big corporations.  We also talked about the new voter legislation in Texas, and a little about a targeted vote recount in Missoula County Montana, which revealed several discrepancies that support the stories of vote irregularities.  We didn't do this day in history or National Calendar Days, but that's ok.  We'll catch it next time.

Episode - 119 - "Wacky Wednesday with a Twist of Lime"

It's "Wacky Wednesday" and Donald Wayne, Dennis Lee and Eric Kirk usually try to make this all about fun and frivolity.  However, Donald Wayne started the show with a rant about an outrageous attack by a man on an elderly woman on the streets of New York.  But after he gets that out of his system - the show returns to it's "Wacky Wednesday" mode.  Subjects:
Man pushes an elderly woman down on a New York street and then kicks her in the face/head twice before slowly walking away.  If that wasn't bad enough, 3 grown men were standing in a shop less than 20 feet away and did nothing but watch.  If you haven't seen the video on Fox - I fill in the details as is currently known.  Horrible story.

Bans State Voter ID Laws
Allows 16 year olds to vote
Legalizes nationwide mailin voting without a photo ID

Episode - 116.75 - "Mini-Pod" - "What's Going On With Georgia's New Voting Law?"

On this Episode of "Mini-Pod" Donald Wayne discusses some of the issues with the new voting law just passed in Georgia and signed into law by Gov. Kemp.  The new law has even "upset" President Biden".  Georgia voter rights groups have already decided to challenge the new law.  Some of the high points discussed are as follows:
no soliciting votes in any manner to an elector, which includes offering campaign material, gifts, including water or food.
new voter ID requirements
limits the use of voter drop boxes
limits how absentee ballots are mailed out
requires ID to request absentee ballots
Some of the new requirements in the bill may be in response to the HR1 bill that was passed by the US House a few weeks ago but is still in the Senate. Donald Wayne adds some commentary on many of the issues regarding Georgia's new voting bill.....of course.

Episode - 116.5 - "Mini-Pod" - "New Columbia - Really?"

On this Episode of Trice Talk "Mini-Pod" - Donald Wayne talks about the issue of DC Statehood which is being pushed by Democrats in Congress - with the help of a supportive President Joe Biden. Some of the issues:
If D.C. becomes a state - if most surely will be represented by Democrats forever 
Many judicial experts believe it would require a constitutional amendment
D.C. basically deals with taxation without representation.
That problem could be solved by allowing D.C. to be re-annexed into Maryland
Washington D.C. receives about $637 million a year from the federal government to run the cities services.
Democrats call Republican's not supporting the measure - "racists".
Please contact your Representatives and Senators to let them know how you feel about this issue.  Once it is done - it will be almost impossible to undo it.

Episode - 116 - "Some Things You Celebrate. Some You Don't"

Tonight we spend a little time honoring our friend and co-host Eric Kirk as part of the "Eric Kirk Appreciation Day" being celebrated on numerous podcast today.  While Eric is a regular fixture on many podcast such as The Slightly Serious Show and The Old Man Podcast and many others, we are fortunate that he has been a regular contributor to Trice Talk almost since it's "rebirth" last summer.  I am very fortunate that Eric has always made himself available to fill in for Dennis Lee when he couldn't do the show.  His extensive knowledge of many political and social issues is always an asset to the show.  He's pretty darn good at trivia as well.  Both Dennis Lee and myself feel blessed to consider Eric a friend.
We started the show with a few "Thank You" songs to help celebrate this occasion with Eric.  But of course - being a Thursday night we had to talk some politics.  The following topic were discussed:
The Biden "Press Conference" today - could best be described as a dishonest sleep fest.  Joe Biden started out with higher than normal energy and the average amount of blame slinging towards Trump.  Donald Wayne summarizes the "high points" (if you will) - Biden used note cards to answer just about every question asked - He only took 10 questions and gave fairly long drawn out answers to each - He blamed Trump for just about everything wrong with the Border and Immigration - He lost his train of thought several times - Didn't refer to Kamala much except one time about the border - and a bunch of tother stuff you'll have to listen to this episode to find out about.
Dennis Lee talked about the Democrats rigging healthcare.
Dennis Lee also talked about Sorry Democrats - Biden is to Blame for the Border.
