Episode 265 - ”Voting Is Not The Only Thing Government Requires ID‘s For.”

Trice Talk Tuesday Night "Mini-Pod" w/Donald Wayne.  I just want to let you know right off the bat that I didn't do a weather related show tonight.  In fact - I barely mentioned weather tonight.  Seriously.  Tonight I wanted to concentrate on some things that we do in life that require ID's.  Liberals have spent so much time and energy pushing back against Republican State Legislatures that have strengthened their voter laws including ID requirements that we need legitimate examples to counter their accusations. 

I share some examples of 7 things Government requires ID's for - which I got from an article by Fred Lucas that was published by the Daily Signal.  Most of the 7 are items that are directly guarantee rights given to U.S. citizens by the Constitution.  But a few of them are actually rights that have been determined by cases decided by the Supreme Court over the years.  Therefore these decisions have the same effect as being guaranteed by the Constitution.  Even the rights that have been determined by the Supreme Court still incur issues of proving who you are to enjoy those rights.  ID's are a way of life in this country, and it is very difficult to escape having to prove who you are to partake of or utilize some service, facility or exercise your Constitutional rights.  It's difficult to function in this day and time without having to prove your identity in some situations.  So for Liberals to say ID voter laws are racist and are designed to keep minorities from voting - specifically black voters, is for them to ignore all of the other Constitutionally guaranteed rights that also require you to prove your identity.  Hopefully you will be able to use some or all of the 7 if you get into a lively - but hopefully friendly discussion with a Liberal about voter ID laws.
