Episode - 191 - "The Episode That Almost Wasn't"

Trice Talk Tuesday Night "Live" w/Donald Wayne and Dennis Lee.  Dennis Lee and I both had to work late tonight with our "paying" jobs, so we almost passed on doing a show tonight.  In fact I had decided to just do a "non-live" "Mini-Pod."  But at the last minute we were able to connect and decided to go ahead with the "live" show.  Being a Tuesday, there is a fair amount of serious conversation about some awful events that occurred over the weekend.  But for some reason (Jess Duck) typed a comment about ice cream and that was "all it took" to spend our remaining time talking about all kinds of food issues - ice cream, pies, tuna foot longs at Subway, breakfast at Waffle House and Cracker Barrel, sausages and yes even our favorite planet entered into the conversation.  Some of the - ahhh - more serious stuff covered tonight:

• Lying Chuck Schumer - upset because the Senate could not overcome the "filabuster" regarding the S1 Voters Rights Bill - accused Republican led states of passing laws that would keep minorities from voting.  And the part that "gets my goat" is that crap about Republicans denying people standing in voting lines the right to have food and water given to them.  Who in the hell can't plan their meals around their desire to vote.  Eat before or after you go, not standing in line exercising your right to vote.  "Focus People".  Put a couple of packs of peanut butter and crackers in your pocket and a bottle of water if you think you are going to go into a crisis mode while standing in line.  You need spending more time considering your candidate choices and less time worrying about someone giving you a free sandwich.
• Oakland crowd twerks on ambulance, blocks responders after deadly shooting...there is a video of a woman twerking on the hood of an ambulance that was trying to navigate through a crowd to transport victims of a shooting to a hospital.  The video I saw showed a party like atmosphere, not long after several people were shot and one was killed.
• And in Chicago - a Man was killed while celebrating Puerto Rican Day Parade.  His pregnant wife was also shot and is in critical condition.  Why is the media not calling this a hate crime in this instance?  Maybe because the shooter wasn't white.
